Epoch Pixels

Epoch Pixels(이하 “앱”)는 ByteWright(이하 “운영자”)가 제공합니다.

  • Google Firebase —

Epoch Pixels Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 12, 2026

Epoch Pixels (the “App”) is provided by ByteWright (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information the App and its service providers process, why they process it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information processed

Game data stored on your device

The App stores game progress and preferences on your device, including completed and in-progress puzzles, unlocked eras, ticket balances and transaction state, settings, onboarding state, and consent choices. This data supports gameplay, recovery after an interruption, and your selected settings.

Account and security data

The App creates a Firebase anonymous account so that a stable user ID is available without requiring registration. If you choose to connect Apple or Google, Firebase Authentication processes the Firebase user ID, the connected provider identifier, and provider account information returned during authentication. Apple or Google also processes the sign-in request under its own terms and privacy policy.

Firebase App Check processes app and device attestation information and security tokens to help distinguish authentic App requests from abuse. Firebase and its infrastructure may also process technical information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure these services.

On each App launch, Google’s User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) is asked to update the consent information that applies to the device. This is a network request to Google and occurs before any advertising request. UMP processes consent status and the technical request information needed to determine which privacy requirements and choices apply. If the update or required message fails, the App does not request an ad.

Advertising data

The App uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads and limited interstitial ads. UMP processes your consent choices and determines whether an advertising request is permitted. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, app interactions, ad interactions, consent signals, and device or diagnostic information. The exact processing depends on your region, consent choices, device settings, and whether tracking permission is granted on iOS.

The App does not request an ad until its consent gate reports that ad requests are permitted. Declining consent or iOS tracking permission does not block puzzle play. Where available, you can reopen advertising privacy choices from the App’s Settings screen.

Purchases

The App uses Apple App Store or Google Play billing and RevenueCat to provide purchases and restore permanent benefits. The store and RevenueCat may process the Firebase user ID used as the App user ID, product and entitlement identifiers, purchase status, transaction information, receipts or purchase tokens, country/storefront, and technical information needed to verify, restore, prevent duplicate grants, and support refunds. We do not receive your full payment-card number from the app stores.

Usage analytics and crash diagnostics

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve quality, understand feature use, and diagnose failures. Analytics events concern feature use and game progression, such as puzzle starts or completions, onboarding, hints, ticket spending or grants, ads, purchases, and entitlement changes. The current event contract includes puzzle and progress identifiers and counts, board activity counts, ticket costs, grant amounts, and ticket-balance ranges.

Automatic Crashlytics reports may include crashes, non-fatal errors, Android 11+ Application Not Responding (ANR) events, timestamps, app identifier and version, operating-system and device model, CPU, memory, disk and screen state, background state, session and Crashlytics installation UUIDs, Firebase installation IDs, frames and function names for running threads, exception classes and messages, and loaded-binary information. When Analytics is permitted, the App's explicitly logged Analytics events and parameters may also appear as breadcrumbs that show activity leading up to an error. Operational errors that the App reports manually use closed failure classifications and stacks scrubbed for patterns that look like personal data; that App-level scrubber does not cover the SDK's entire automatic crash or ANR report.

The App does not directly set provider tokens, store receipts, store transaction IDs, exact ticket balances, or the Firebase user ID as an Analytics or Crashlytics user ID.

In regions where consent is required, including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, UMP also gathers the analytics-storage choice and passes it to Firebase Consent Mode. The App uses Google's advanced Consent Mode. If analytics storage is denied, Firebase Analytics does not read or write the IDFV or app identifiers, but events without device or user identifiers and consent signals may still be sent to Google for basic measurement and modeling. This communication may include technical information such as screen resolution, device and operating-system details, and the IP address used for the request; Google states that Analytics does not store or log IP addresses. Denying analytics storage therefore stops identifier storage and full Analytics measurement, but does not mean that all network transmission stops. You can review or change that choice through Advertising privacy choices in Settings. Usage analytics and crash diagnostics are enabled by default in other regions.

Cloud save and purchase ledger

The App may store account-linked game progress and a minimal purchase ledger in Firebase so that purchases and progress can be recovered safely across devices. This may include the Firebase user ID, save revision and progress, ticket ledger entries, entitlement state, idempotency identifiers, and timestamps.

2. Why information is processed

We process information as needed to:

  • provide puzzles, save progress, connect and recover an account, and restore purchases;
  • verify the App, prevent fraud, secure purchases, and investigate abuse;
  • show ads only when permitted and grant a selected rewarded-ad benefit;
  • remember and honor privacy choices;
  • understand and improve App usage and stability;
  • comply with legal, accounting, refund, and platform obligations.

Depending on where you live, the legal basis may be performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in providing, securing, and improving the App, compliance with law, or your consent. Where consent applies, you may change the choice for future processing through Advertising privacy choices in Settings without affecting earlier lawful processing.

3. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers only for the purposes described above:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, app attestation, and cloud services;
  • Google AdMob and UMP — advertising, consent collection, fraud prevention, and measurement;
  • RevenueCat — purchase validation, entitlement, and restore services;
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — distribution, sign-in where selected, billing, refunds, and platform security.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the App, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell payment-card details, and we do not knowingly disclose information for purposes unrelated to operating and funding the App.

For more information, see Google’s business data responsibility site, Firebase privacy and security, and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

4. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they or we use recognized safeguards for international transfers. See each provider’s privacy materials for details about its infrastructure and transfer mechanisms.

5. Retention

On-device game data remains until you reset the App, clear its data, or uninstall it, subject to device backup behavior. Account, security, consent, purchase, and cloud-save records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including recovery, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal or accounting requirements. A deletion request may not remove records that must be retained by an app store, payment provider, or applicable law.

After account deletion completes, deletable Firebase account data and the RevenueCat customer identity link are removed. To prevent duplicate processing and support safe retries, a minimal completion record uses a hash of the former Firebase user ID rather than the original ID and is configured for automatic deletion no later than 30 days after completion.

After account deletion, we separately retain a hash of the store transaction ID, app and product identifiers, and the test or production environment to prevent the same transaction from granting tickets again. This record does not contain a Firebase user ID, email address, ticket balance, or raw receipt. We retain it while the purchase and restoration service operates, and delete it when that service permanently ends and transactions can no longer be reprocessed.

Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash stack traces, extracted minidump data, and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before beginning their removal from live and backup systems.

The current Google Analytics property is configured to retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period is recalculated when new user activity occurs. These controls may not apply to standard aggregated Analytics reports.

Records processed by AdMob and UMP, Apple or Google sign-in and store services, RevenueCat, and other providers whose retention periods we do not directly control are retained under their policies and for periods needed to provide the service, maintain security, process refunds, and meet legal or platform obligations. We delete or anonymize records under our control when they are no longer needed.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Usage analytics: enabled by default; where consent is required, UMP applies the analytics-storage choice.
  • Advertising privacy choices: reopen them in Settings when UMP reports that the option is required or available, including to change advertising and analytics-storage choices.
  • iOS tracking: manage tracking permission in iOS Settings. Refusing it does not block gameplay.
  • Local game data: use the in-app reset control or your operating system’s app-data controls. A local reset is not an account-deletion request.
  • Account deletion: open Settings → Privacy & information → Delete account. Guests can delete without registering or linking an account. Linked accounts require reauthentication with the existing provider. No email or support contact is required for in-app deletion. The direct path and guest deletion apply to version 1.0.0(29) or later. In earlier versions, linked accounts can use Settings → Account → Delete Account. On-device progress is kept by default and is reset only when the separate checkbox is selected. If you cannot use the App, request deletion through the public Account Deletion Request page.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us at bytewright.dev@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

7. Children

Epoch Pixels is a general-audience game and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children below the age at which they may provide valid consent in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the App, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
